Reservations must be made through the Seattle Housing Bureau by July 15, 2015, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to guarantee convention rates. Make your reservation online or download the reservation form and fax or mail it to the Seattle Housing Bureau.

Do not send housing forms to the ASA office or contact hotels directly.

Deposit: All reservation requests must be accompanied by a credit card guarantee. Housing forms received without valid and complete credit card information will not be processed.

Acknowledgement: Acknowledgements will be emailed or faxed from the Seattle Housing Bureau immediately after your room is reserved. Please contact the housing bureau at (888) 877-0255 if you do not receive an acknowledgement within 24 hours. Reservations are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and according to room availability. You will not receive a confirmation from your hotel.

Room Requests: Requests for a block of rooms may be made using the housing request form with a page attached indicating the number of rooms requested and listing the names of those in the block and the dates they will need rooms.

Changes: Until July 15, all changes and cancellations must be made by telephone or in writing by email. Call (888) 877-0255 Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PDT or email hotelres@visitseattle.org. Always indicate you are attending JSM and have your acknowledgement number ready. Between July 16 and July 23, reservation information will be transferred to the hotels. Beginning on July 24, changes must be made directly with the hotel.

Cancellations: Failure to cancel your reservation more than 72 hours before arrival or failure to arrive on your scheduled arrival date may result in the hotel charging the credit card on file for one night's room and tax. Some hotels charge a penalty for checking out earlier than scheduled. To avoid this, verify your departure date upon arrival.

Government Per Diem Rate Rooms: A limited number of U.S. government rate rooms are available. Government-rate hotel rooms are available only to employees of U.S. government agencies and require an eligible government ID at check-in.

Importance of Staying in the Official Meetings Hotels

Your patronage of the official convention headquarter and overflow hotels enables the ASA to secure meeting space at a greatly reduced cost, which helps keep the cost of the meetings and your registration fees down. With your cooperation, the ASA will continue to be successful in negotiating good contracts for the Joint Statistical Meetings and maintaining the programs and activities you have requested.


Economy Housing

While all hotels allow double, triple, and quad reservations, there are also dorm rooms available at Seattle University. A limited number of rooms (single and double occupancy) and suites (4 people per suite) will be available August 8–14, 2015. Room plus standard meal plan purchase is required.
