Submit a Proposal
Session Proposals
A limited number of workshops and invited sessions will be accepted, and the program committee will select sessions that clearly demonstrate the importance of the topic and quality of its contributions.
Invited workshops will be scheduled for approximately two hours and can include up to three instructors.
Invited sessions will be approximately 90 minutes and include up to four speakers OR three speakers and a discussant. Invited sessions are organized and chaired by the main submitting proposal organizer.
Online submission of workshop and invited session proposals will be open until March 24.
A description of an invited session should include a short summary of the general topic, including why it is likely to be of interest to the ICHPS audience, as well as the proposed speakers, their talk titles, and (if deemed helpful) a brief description of each talk.
The ICHPS audience is multidisciplinary and attracts researchers and practitioners across many disciplines—statistics, biostatistics, data science, predictive analytics, health economics, decision sciences, clinical research, and more—and from diverse backgrounds, including academia, industry, government, and medicine. We welcome abstracts from all these domains. Invited abstract submission for ICHPS is highly competitive, and we will likely accept no more than one-third to one-half of submissions. To make sure your abstract has the best chance of being accepted, ensure you have explained why the work presented is relevant to contemporary health policy and why it is well suited for ICHPS. The theme of the conference is “Upgrading the pipeline from health data to health policy.”
Please consider our goals and the JSM goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion in your session proposal. Our goal is for this ICHPS to be the most inclusive and diverse ICHPS ever.
Members of the ICHPS Scientific Organizing Committee will review the proposals and notify session organizers in mid-April to let them know whether their proposal has been accepted. If your submission is not accepted as an invited session, there will be an opportunity to submit it as a contributed abstract in May.
Sincerely,
Ruth Etzioni and Michael Baiocchi
