Throughout the last 20 years, the International Conference on Health Policy Statistics (ICHPS)—organized by the Health Policy Statistics Section of the American Statistical Association—has played a vital role in the dissemination process of health policy (and health services) statistics. ICHPS provides a unique forum for discussing research needs and solutions to the methodological challenges in the design of studies and analysis of data for health policy research.
ICHPS’s aim is to create interfaces between practitioners, methodologists, health service researchers, health economists, and policy analysts so they can exchange and build on ideas they will disseminate to the broader health policy community.
The theme for the 14th International Conference on Health Policy Statistics is Upgrading the Pipeline from Health Data to Health Policy.
The Supreme Court's ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization at the end of June 2022 is a major change to American policy. The ruling has already had, and will continue to have, a significant impact on health care across the United States.
The laws in Arizona surrounding access to reproductive care are unclear at this time and may continue to evolve. We will continue to update attendees regarding the status of laws related to access to reproductive care in Arizona. The ASA Board is in the process of evaluating the impact of Dobbs and other issues on future meeting locations.
