Participation in research experiences for undergraduates (REU) can be both rewarding and challenging for faculty and students. In this talk, I will discuss tips and tricks for developing undergraduates into productive research collaborators. As a result, students experience and are mentored through the research process, while faculty are able to increase their publication rate, thus creating a win-win scenario for both parties involved.
