This panel will describe the work of the American Statistical Association's Committee on Funded Research and the perspective of the NSF Division of the Mathematical Sciences. Specifically, it will describe how members of the statistical community and funding organizations interact to support research in statistical science, and provide information on the current state of and outlook for funding for research in statistical science. Panelists will include a member of the ASA staff, a member of the ASA Committee on Funded Research, and an NSF Program Officer.
