The federal government employs a large number of statisticians. Such agencies as the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institutes of Health, the Census Bureau, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are just a few of the many government agencies that rely on the skill set and knowledge of statisticians daily. Statisticians within government have the opportunity to impact and influence decisions that affect the United States and global communities. With such an important role, it is paramount that we, as women in the statistics profession, understand and make the most of the opportunities that abound. This session will provide insight into navigating the path to success within the federal government.
