One Day to Make a Difference

ASA Giving Day is a time to come together—as ONE ASA community—to raise money for programs that support the future of statistics and data science. Make a difference and donate today!

Here are some frequently asked questions:

How can I make a donation?

You can make your gift online or by calling (703) 302-1861. You can also mail your donation to this address:

American Statistical Association
723 North Washington Street
Alexandria, VA 22314

To ensure your mailed donation is counted toward the Giving Day total, date your check November 17 and write ASA Giving Day on the memo line.

Why should I donate? I already pay membership dues.

Membership dues help support basic ASA operation. Every dollar raised through charitable contributions in addition to dues helps offset the growing costs of important programs that our members, students, and society at large benefit from. Donations help keep program costs low or free and also help us react quickly to specific needs such as better tools for teachers and our public awareness campaign, Count on Stats. Learn more.

What will my donation be used for?

Your donation will be used to support teachers, students, early-career professionals, and the advancement of statistics and data science. Learn more.

Can I specify where my donation is used?

Absolutely! If you would like to make a gift to a specific area, just indicate your choice on the Give Now donation page. Contact Amanda Malloy with any questions.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes! The ASA is a 501c3 non-profit organization, so your gift is 100% tax deductible. You will receive a gift receipt via email that you can use for your tax purposes.
