This two-day competition brings together more than 2,000 undergraduates and provides a taste for the statistics discipline while promoting soft skills development such as public speaking and presenting. The competition fills gaps in the curriculum that can be difficult, or even impossible, to discern based on traditional classroom experiences.
The ASA Student and Early Career Travel Award provides travel assistance to those who are often limited by travel costs and conference fees so they can attend ASA-sponsored meetings.
Contributions to this fund will go toward providing members of historically underrepresented groups greater access to professional development and programs that encourage members of BIPOC communities to pursue careers within statistics and data science.
The ASA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Contributions made to the ASA are tax deductible. Please contact us for more information about giving to the ASA.
