Conference Information

The 2018 Women in Statistics and Data Science Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, aims to bring together hundreds of statistical practitioners and data scientists. WSDS2018 will highlight the achievements and career interests of women in statistics and data science. Senior, mid-level, and junior stars representing industrial, academic, and government communities will unite to present their life’s work and share their perspectives on the role of women in today’s statistics and data science fields. Through formal sessions and informal networking opportunities, the conference will empower and challenge women statisticians and biostatisticians to do the following:

Knowledge
Share knowledge by offering technical talks about important, modern, and cutting-edge research
Community
Build community by encouraging discussions establishing fruitful multi-disciplinary collaborations, supporting mentoring relationships, and sharing strategies for resolving problems
Influence
Grow influence by providing advice for establishing and sustaining successful careers, showcasing the accomplishments of successful women professionals, and supporting the development of leadership skills
