In a letter to Congress organized by the ASA and Council of Professional Associations on Federal Statistics, 56 former federal statistical agency and US Department of Agriculture leaders and officials warned of the likely consequences of the USDA's plan to reorganize and relocate its statistical and research agencies and urged the proposed plans be abandoned.
