ASA Promotes K-12 Statistics Education at School Counselors Conference
In an effort to expand awareness of the value of statistics education, the ASA recently attended the American School Counselors Association annual conference in Denver, Colorado. Paul Buckley, Elizabeth Ribble, and Nels Grevstad represented the ASA at the event, where they promoted the ASA’s public education campaign, ThisIsStatistics, and shared educational resources with school counselors from across the country.
ASA to Offer Free Media Training Workshop in October
The media is always looking for experts who can explain and help others visualize quantitative data and insights, so we are excited to offer you the opportunity to participate in a free media training workshop Friday, October 13, in Bethesda, Maryland. The workshop will be held in conjunction with the 2017 ASA Symposium on Statistical Inference at the same hotel, but participation is not limited to conference attendees.
