SC2 - StatXW: Preparing to Be an Expert Witness
Instructor: Kathy Ensor, Rice University
This course is participatory by design and provides an opportunity to learn about becoming an expert witness. The Statistical Expert Witness (StatXW) framework used to organize the course contains four modules: preliminaries; plan; prepare; and perform. Participants will develop an approach for serving as a statistical expert witness, which will include composing a statement of expertise and learning more about the logistics of any engagement. At the end of this course, participants will have gained knowledge of the challenges and opportunities encountered by the statistical expert witness.
