Participation Guidelines
The guidelines below encourage a wide and diverse set of presenters.
Each participant may do one activity from each of categories A–E:
- Deliver a main presentation (one of the following):
- Present in a refereed session
- Present in a lightning session
- Present in a panel session
- Chair a session
- Participate in a plenary session
- Serve as a discussant
- Teach a short course
While the above guidelines allow for multiple presenting roles within the SDSS program, please note a person cannot hold multiple roles within one session.
In addition, the participation rules do not prevent individuals from being coauthors of as many papers as they wish or from organizing multiple sessions (if applicable).
Only the SDSS 2026 program chair, with ample justification, may grant exceptions to the above rules.
