*Rajesh Kalidindi, MicrosoftKeywords: Disability, Accessibility, Inclusive Surveys
World Health Organization reported that more than a billion people, about 15% of the world’s population, have some form of disability. By making digital surveys inclusive all participants will benefit, not just people with disabilities. In this workshop, participants will familiarize: • Usability challenges for people with different abilities with digital surveys, both web and mobile • Accessibility regulations across the globe • Participant recruitment pitfalls • Preferred compensation choices for survey participants with special needs
The hands on activity will focus: • Converting sample questionnaire designs into inclusive format • Best practices to make survey results presentation that is usable for people with different abilities
Participants are encouraged to send their sample surveys to facilitator at rajesh@uxpa.org by October 25. The surveys submitted will be used for the hands-on activity in the workshop.
