Through their work with multidisciplinary teams, collaborating statisticians frequently engage in the scientific publication process as a facilitator of quantitative scholarship. This poster will outline steps for publishing in the peer-review literature, specifically intended for the collaborating statistician working with a multidisciplinary team of investigators. Specifics will include suggestions for authorship negotiation, internal review board approval, journal selection, style guidelines, sequencing of sections, and responding to reviewer comments. Following the steps and tips provided can make the daunting task of writing more manageable, perhaps even enjoyable, and may alleviate mental block and procrastination that is commonly encountered when setting out to write a scientific paper.
