2026 AISC Conference Advances in Interdisciplinary Statistics and Combinatorics

The International Conference on Advances in Interdisciplinary Statistics and Combinatorics (AISC 2026) will bring together researchers, practitioners, and students from around the world to explore emerging developments at the intersection of statistics, data science, and combinatorics. The "Statistics Beyond Euclid: Functional Data, Random Objects and AI" conference is happening from November 12--14, 2026 (Thursday--Saturday) at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) in Davis, California, USA. Call for poster proposals: We invite submissions of abstracts for poster presentations. The abstract should be original (theoretical, methodological, or applied) research on functional data, random objects or AI. Each person may only submit one abstract. Please use this form (https://forms.gle/axzfzLN9TVZqXxfV7) to submit your poster proposal. This form will ask you to upload an extended abstract of length at most 1 page with at least 1 inch margin on each side and your latest CV, both in pdf format. Please name your submitted files as Lastname_Firstname_abs.pdf and Lastname_Firstname_cv.pdf, respectively.

SIAM Conference on Mathematics of Data Science (MDS26)

The SIAM Conference on Mathematics of Data Science (MDS26) will bring together researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, government, and national laboratories to explore advances in the mathematical foundations of data science. Presentations will highlight advances in mathematical, statistical, and computational methods that shape how data are analyzed, modeled, and used to inform decision-making. MDS26 will feature work spanning foundational theory through real- world applications. This year, a particular focus is on the mathematics of data science in high dimensions, with topics such as dimensionality reduction and embeddings, scalability and parallel algorithms, and algebraic and geometric data analysis. We invite you to join MDS26 to engage with emerging ideas, share insights, and help define the next generation of mathematics for data science.

Summer Institute in Statistical Genetics

The Summer Institute in Statistical Genetics (SISG) has been offered annually in the US since.in 1995. It is now directed by Greg Gibson at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. We are delighted that for the 3rd time in its history, a version of SISG will be run in New Zealand, hosted Waipapa Taumata Rau - University of Auckland.

Data Science Week 2026

**Data Science Week 2026**, hosted by Purdue University Fort Wayne from November 30 to December 4, 2026, is an interdisciplinary event bringing together researchers, students, industry professionals, and the broader community to explore recent advances and applications in Data Science.

Now in its seventh edition, the event highlights the growing connections among mathematics, statistics, computer science, machine learning, and scientific computing, emphasizing the role of data-driven approaches in scientific discovery and real-world decision-making.

The 2026 program features three distinguished keynote speakers: **J. Nathan Kutz** (University of Washington and Autodesk Research), **Lu Lu** (Yale University), and **George Haller** (ETH Zurich). Their research spans scientific machine learning, data-driven dynamical systems, physics-informed neural networks, and nonlinear dynamics.

The event also includes interdisciplinary discussions involving academic and industry representatives, as well as opportunities for participants to contribute short presentations and posters through dedicated virtual spaces.

**Registration is free and open to all interested participants.** Registration and submissions of short talks and posters are due November 27, 2026.

Workshop on Statistics and Applications

We are pleased to welcome you to the Workshop on Statistics and Applications, which will take place at ISEG - Universidade de Lisboa, in Lisbon, on 4-5 December 2026.

Held on the occasion of the 70th birthday of Wenceslao González Manteiga, this international scientific meeting is organised by ISEG Research, in collaboration with the Centre of Mathematics of the University of Minho (CMAT), the Centre of Mathematics of the University of Porto (CMUP), the Centre for Mathematics of the University of Coimbra (CMUC), and the Galician Centre for Mathematical Research and Technology (CITMAga). The workshop will bring together leading researchers in Statistics and related fields to present and discuss recent methodological advances and their applications across a wide range of scientific domains.

This event honours Professor Wenceslao González Manteiga (University of Santiago de Compostela) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to modern nonparametric statistics. His work has had a profound impact on areas such as kernel methods, functional data analysis, spatial statistics, and the analysis of complex data structures. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has authored numerous highly cited publications and supervised many doctoral students who now hold academic positions worldwide. He has also played a central role in fostering international collaboration within the statistical community, maintaining long-standing scientific links with many universities, including several institutions in Portugal.

The Annual Deming Conference on Applied Statistics

The Annual Deming Conference on Applied Statistics will be held from Monday, December 7 to Wednesday, December 9, 2026, followed by two parallel 2-day short courses on Thursday, December 10, and Friday, December 11, 2026, at the state-of- art Tropicana Atlantic City (2831 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ, 08401, USA).

The purpose of the 3-day Deming Conference on Applied Statistics is to provide a learning experience on recent developments in statistical methodologies in biopharmaceutical applications. The conference is composed of twelve three- hour tutorials on current topics in applied biopharmaceutical statistics and FDA regulations, three one-hour distinguished keynotes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
