Travel & Transportation

Air
For those flying into Rhode Island, Warwick's T.F. Green Airport (PVD) is only 10 minutes from downtown Providence. Named the 4th-best airport in the country by Travel + Leisure magazine, Green Airport is conveniently located right off Interstate 95 and is a favorite of business and leisure travelers.

Boston's Logan International Airport, the closest international airport to Providence, features non-stop air service from more than 100 destinations. Located fewer than 50 miles from Providence, Logan offers convenient transportation options to Providence, including bus service pick-up within steps of all five if its airport terminals. Peter Pan's 10 daily departures leave directly from Logan to downtown Providence, and Amtrak and commuter rail service are readily available.

Amtrak
Providence is located on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor route, which runs from Boston to Washington, DC, and back. High-speed Acela service easily transports passengers from New York City to Providence in about two hours and 30 minutes. The train station is located at 100 Gaspee St., in the heart of downtown. MBTA

    The acclaimed Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, presented by Citizens Bank, returns to Roger Williams Park Zoo October 1 - November 1. This breathtaking display of thousands of illuminated jack-o-lanterns features more than 125 of the gourds carved into veritable works of art. The 2015 Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, titled "People's Choice," admits people from 6-10 p.m.; the trail closes at 11pm. On Saturday, the last admission is at 11 p.m. and the trail closes at midnight. Additionally, visitors who purchase the dinner offering on weekends enjoy express entry to the pumpkin trail.
