4th Corsican Summer School on Modern Methods in Biostatistics and Epidemiology: Statistical methods and recent advances in statistical methods fox excess risk analysis

The Corsican Summer School on Modern Methods in Biostatistics and Epidemiology is a crucial event for learning more about statistical methods and recent advances in statistical methods for analysing excess risk. The fourth edition will take place from July 01st to 05th, 2024, in Corte (Corsica, France). This course will focus on: (i) the main statistical methods and the more recent advances in statistical methods for excess risk analysis, and (ii) the transfer of methods for net survival estimations to some other specific applications (clinical research, occupational epidemiology). The objectives of the course are: (i) to disseminate the concepts, methods and the more recent statistical tools to analyse net survival and excess mortality; (ii) to offer an informal and user-friendly setting of scientific exchanges in order to improve knowledge and practical skills to estimate, model, program, analyse and interpret results of excess risk analysis. The Summer School is aimed at biostatisticians, statisticians, epidemiologists; researchers and students; those working in a registry of cancer, of chronic disease or in any other field relevant to these methodologies and applications.

Online Summer Institute in Statistics for Clinical & Epidemiological Research

SISCER offers introductory and advanced short courses in methods for clinical research and epidemiology. Participants will find learning opportunities for clinical trials, causal inference, biomarker research, and analyzing observational data and complex surveys.

2024 CQS Summer Institute

Registration is open for the 2024 Summer Institute at Vanderbilt's Center for Quantitative Sciences. This year's offerings include a virtual weeklong introduction to the All of Us Research Program (July 22-26) and three in-person on-campus courses (food and parking included) on big data (July 22-26), causal inference (July 29- August 2), and R (July 29-August 2). ICORS meets DSSV 2024

The International Conference on Robust Statistics (ICORS) and Data Science, Statistics & Visualization (DSSV) are a joint conference aimed to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in the interplay of robust statistics, data analysis, computer science, and visualization, and to build bridges between these fields for interdisciplinary research. This includes theoretical and applied statisticians as well as data analysts from other fields, and leading experts as well as junior researchers and graduate students. This joint conference shall create a forum to discuss recent progress and emerging ideas in these different disciplines and encourage informal contacts and discussions among all the participants. They also play an important role in maintaining a cohesive group of international researchers interested in robust statistics and related topics, whose interactions transcend the meetings and endure year round.

2024 Joint Statistical Meetings

Online Summer Institute in Statistics for Big Data (SISBID)

SISBID is designed to introduce biologists, quantitative scientists, and statisticians to modern statistical techniques for the analysis of biological big data. Royal Statistical Society 2024 International Conference

The RSS conference brings together the statistics and data science community from across the UK, Europe and around the world to share knowledge and learn about latest developments.

Information, Value, Modeling and Inference

Info-Metrics Institute is excited to announce the upcoming Fall 2024 Workshop taking place on Thursday and Friday, September 12- 13, 2024, at American University in Washington DC.

The workshop will focus on exploring fundamental concepts of information theory and their applications in inference, modeling, and theory construction across various disciplines, as well as concepts related to the value of information.

We encourage all interested researchers from across disciplines to participate by submitting papers related to info-metrics. Students are also invited to submit papers for a special Students' Poster/Short Presentation Session, providing an excellent opportunity to showcase research and engage with peers and experts in the field.

2024 ASA Biopharmaceutical Section Regulatory-Industry Statistics Workshop

The ASA Biopharmaceutical Section Regulatory-Industry Statistics Workshop is sponsored by the ASA Biopharmaceutical Section in cooperation with the FDA Statistical Association. Each year, the conference lasts three days, with invited sessions co-chaired by statisticians from industry, academia, and regulatory agencies. Short courses on related topics are offered the first day of the workshop.

ENVR Workshop: Spatial Data Science for the Environment

The ENVR 2024 Workshop: Spatial Data Science for the Environment is the biannual meeting of the Statistics and the Environment Section of the American Statistical Association, to be held in Boulder, CO, on October 3-5, 2024. The goals of the workshop are to (i) facilitate interdisciplinary research, (ii) present state-of-the-art methods, and (iii) develop the next generation workforce by hosting a poster presentation and a short course. The workshop will provide a platform for discussions on the current and future state of spatial statistics, invite scientific presentations on interdisciplinary topics, and facilitate new research directions and groups. Part of the workshop will focus on the unique contributions of and career of Doug Nychka, who is and has been a central figure in the climate and environmental statistics communities.

The program includes:  A full-day shortcourse on "Spatial Linear Models for Environmental Data" taught by Jay Ver Hoef, Dale Zimmerman, and Michael Dumelle. The course will closely follow the outline of their recently- published book of the same name.  Five scientific plenary sessions including presentations from 17 renowned scholars. The Friday afternoon session will directly discuss the contributions and influence of Doug Nychka, and the final Saturday morning session will feature Doug Nychka and colleagues Andy Finley and Joe Guinness.  A Friday afternoon poster session  A Friday evening dinner celebration  An optional hike to round out the conference at 12 noon on Saturday.

International Conference on Advances in Interdisciplinary Statistics and Combinatorics (AISC-2024)

As is typical with AISC conferences, we will feature special sessions covering a variety of contemporary topics such as Causal Inference, Design of Experiments, Survey Sampling, High Dimensional Data Analysis, Big Data, Data Science/Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Bayesian Statistics, Time Series Forecasting, Topological Data Analysis, Functional Data Analysis, Distribution Theory, Survival Analysis, Statistical Ecology, and Statistical Consulting.

Another important objective of the conference is to groom young researchers by providing them an opportunity to interact with established researchers in their respective fields. With this in mind, there will be several sessions focusing on undergraduate Research.

The 2024 Women in Statistics and Data Science Conference to be held in Reston, Virginia, will highlight the achievements and career interests of women in statistics and data science.

Senior, mid-level, and junior stars representing industrial, academic, and government communities will unite to present their life's work and share their perspectives on the role of women in today's statistics and data science fields.

Through formal sessions and informal networking opportunities, WSDS 2024 will empower and challenge women statisticians and biostatisticians to do the following:

Bayesian Biostatistics Conference

The Bayesian Biostatistics Conference (BAYES2024) will take place from October 25 to 27, 2024, at VisArts, The Metropolitan Center for The Visual Arts, in Rockville, Maryland (USA). 2025 International Conference on Health Policy Statistics

Throughout the last 20+ years, the International Conference on Health Policy Statistics-organized by the Health Policy Statistics Section of the American Statistical Association-has played a vital role in the dissemination of health policy (and health services) statistics. The conference provides a unique forum for discussing research needs and solutions to the methodological challenges in the design of studies and analysis of data for health policy research.

ICHPS's aim is to create an interface for practitioners, methodologists, health service researchers, health economists, and policy analysts to exchange and build on ideas they will disseminate to the broader health policy community.

The theme for the 15th International Conference on Health Policy Statistics is Statistical Innovation to Improve Health Equity.
