ASA ACCREDITATION PROGRAM
The ASA Board of Directors recently approved a set of guidelines for accreditation developed by the ASA Accreditation Committee. ASA members interested in the new voluntary program for individual accreditation should fill out the intent-to-apply form online.
AMSTAT NEWS CHANGES
Starting with the November issue, the online version of Amstat News will offer detailed announcements and articles, while the printed version will contain shorter articles to accommodate a smaller, but full-color, magazine. Why the change? In addition to the ASA's nearly 18,000 members, anyone with an Internet connection can view your news online. It's fast, convenient, and always up to date. Meanwhile, the cost of printing continues to rise. Taking these steps will allow us to offer a quality publication and get your information to as many people as possible. Continue to send announcements as you always have to Amstat News Managing Editor Megan Murphy, make sure to include a website where readers can get more information, or contact information for someone who will answer questions, attach photos and art (in high-resolution .jpg format), and send your article by the first of every month proceeding the month you wish to see it published. For example, if you would like your article to appear online in November, send it no later than October 1.
Follow the magazine on Twitter at @AmstatNews, or visit it online.
