In an effort to better serve ASA members and the statistics community, three plenary sessions from JSM 2006 are available to view for free as webcasts. The Committee on Statistics and Disability and its many cosponsors funded this new benefit through the ASA Strategic Initiative Program.

2007 FDA/INDUSTRY STATISTICS WORKSHOP DATE AND LOCATION ANNOUNCED
The 2007 organizing committee is pleased to announce that the next FDA/Industry Statistics Workshop will be held September 18–19 at the Marriott Crystal Gateway in Arlington, Virginia. Short courses are being organized and will be held September 17. Updated information about the 2007 workshop will be available in early June.

NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR THE MARY G. AND JOSEPH NATRELLA SCHOLARSHIP – Deadline: March 22, 2007
The Quality and Productivity Section announces the 2007 Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarship to support student participation in the Quality and Productivity Research Conference (QPRC) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, June 4–6. Winners will receive a $2,000 grant, a $400 stipend toward travel expenses, and complimentary registration for the conference and short course "Beyond the Factory Floor: Succeeding with Six Sigma outside Manufacturing," taught by Roger Hoerl.
2007 ZELLNER THESIS AWARD – Deadline: March 31, 2007
The Business and Economics Statistics Section announces the competition for the 2007 Zellner Thesis Award.
SCHOLARSHIP NOMINATIONS – Deadline: April 1, 2007
Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship -The Gertrude Cox Scholarship is awarded each year to encourage women to enter statistically oriented professions.
Wilks Memorial Medal - The 2007 Samuel S. Wilks Memorial Medal Committee invites members to submit nominations for this award, to be presented at JSM 2007 in August.
Bryant Scholarship - The Edward C. Bryant Scholarship for Outstanding Graduate Student in Survey Statistics is awarded each August at the Joint Statistical Meetings.
Ott Scholarship - The Statistics Division of the American Society for Quality is pleased to announce the availability of $5,000 in scholarships to support students enrolled in, or accepted into, a master’s degree or higher program with a concentration in applied statistics and/or quality management. Waller Education Award - The Section on Statistical Education is proud to administer the sixth Waller Education Award in 2007.
Outstanding Statistical Application Award - Established in 1986, the award recognizes a paper that is an outstanding application of statistics in any substantive field.
ASA TRAVEL GRANTS TO LISBOA, PORTUGAL, FOR THE 56TH SESSION OF ISI – Deadline: April 13, 2007
The ASA has received funding from the National Science Foundation to support travel to Lisboa, Portugal, for the August 22–29, 2007, meeting of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). The grant will provide partial transportation assistance to individuals presenting papers or who have an official function at the ISI meeting. Newer faculty members who completed PhD requirements in 1996 or later, women, and minorities are especially encouraged to apply. Additional information.
