STUDENT MERIT AWARD IN DOSE-RESPONSE ASSESSMENT - Deadline: June 1, 2006
The Dose-Response Specialty Group of the Society for Risk Analysis is pleased to offer a merit award to a student conducting graduate research in dose-response assessment. In addition to peer recognition, the award winner will receive a registration fee waiver to the SRA Annual Meeting, an engraved plaque, and a $500 honorarium. The DRSG winner will present his/her results and receive his/her award at the annual meeting.
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ESTABLISHMENT SURVEYS ABSTRACT SUBMISSION - Deadline: June 15, 2006
The Third International Conference on Establishment Surveys (ICES-III) will be held in Montréal, Québec, Canada, June 18-21, 2007. The Program Committee is accepting online submissions of topic-contributed and contributed abstracts from April 14 through June 15, 2006.

ASA/BJS STATISTICAL METHODOLOGICAL RESEARCH PROGRAM - Deadline: July 1, 2006
The ASA Committee on Law and Justice Statistics announces a research grant program for the analysis of Bureau of Justice Statistics data. This program was designed to encourage the creative and appropriate use of these data to inform substantive and methodological issues. Young investigators are encouraged to apply. Grants are available to support dissertation research. Awards are generally for a one- or two-year period. An illustrative list of BJS Data Sources for Potential Research Topics includes National Crime Victimization Survey, Federal Justice Data, Law Enforcement Data, and National Prisoner Statistics.

2006 ASA CONFERENCE ON RADIATION AND HEALTH - Monterey, CA -June 18-21, 2006
The biennial ASA Conference on Radiation and Health was designed to promote interaction and collaboration between scientists in the fields of radiation epidemiology and radiation biology. The 2006 conference will focus on the 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident and the studies of its effects.
APPLIED STATISTICS IN A 21st CENTURY ENVIRONMENT WORKSHOP SERIES - June 29, 2006
The Committee on Applied Statisticians and the Section on Statistical Consulting are cosponsoring four web-based workshops. The first will be presented by Donald A. Berry, a professor at The University of Texas, Department of Biostatistics.
