We are excited to offer the Preparing to Be an Expert Witness short course October 17–18 at the ASA office in Alexandria, Virginia. The course will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on the 17th and 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on the 18th.
Register now.
The Statistical Expert Witness (StatXW) framework we are using to organize the course contains four modules: preliminaries, plan, prepare, and perform. The workshop design is an active learning model using case studies and small-group activities. Through these activities, participants will gain knowledge of the challenges and opportunities encountered by the statistical expert witness.
Ultimately, participants will develop an approach for serving as a statistical expert witness, which will include composing a statement of expertise.
