Inspired by the ASA Symposium on Statistical Inference held last October—which included more than 400 attendees, two days of inspiring presentations, and ample opportunities for discussion—the work and conversation continue with a special issue of The American Statistician (TAS).
The problems we are addressing have been known for decades, but now we aim to lead a major rethinking of statistical inference, initiating a process that ultimately moves statistical science—and science itself—into a new age.
