For more than a year, the ASA information technology staff has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to create a refreshing new look for our website. We're happy to say that new look is almost here!
As we transition to the new and improved website, amstat.org will be unavailable on Monday, September 19 – Tuesday, September 20. During this time, members will also be unable to log in to the ASA Community. In addition, links to specific pages on the old site may no longer work after the update. We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause. Follow us on Twitter @AmstatNews for updates.
Once it is live, we encourage you to explore the new amstat.org and let us know what you think! Please send your feedback to email@example.com and check the October issue of Amstat News for details about what went into this endeavor.
Young Professionals AMA Planned for September 27
An AMA ("Ask Me Anything") is like a fun and casual online press conference during which you can ask a guest anything you like. The ASA's first AMA guest is Science Policy Fellow Amy Nussbaum! The AMA will take place on the Young Professionals community forum September 27 from 2–3 p.m.
The ASA, in cooperation with the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), is pleased to announce a senior research fellowship program for 2017, funded under a grant from the National Science Foundation. The initiative features two fellowships designed to facilitate collaborative research between government and academia and to give fellows access to BLS and BEA data, facilities, and staff.
