The ASA is organizing two international exchange trips in 2016. The first is to Ecuador in May, and the second is to South Africa in September. President-elect Jessica Utts will be co-leading the trip to Ecuador with ASA Vice President Jim Rosenberger. Participants will visit universities and government organizations in Quito and travel to Yachay, known as the "City of Knowledge," to visit Ecuador's first technical research university, Yachay Tech. They'll also visit several cultural sites in Ecuador. Interested? Learn more!

The 2016 ASA election opens March 15 at 12:01 a.m. EST and closes May 1 at 11:59 p.m. PST. To prepare, visit amstat.org and check the following:
- Membership expiration. If your membership expires at the time we are launching the election, you will not receive a ballot.
- Section membership. To vote for section officers, you must be a member of that section.
- Email address. All ballots are delivered via email. If the email you have on file at the ASA is incorrect, you will not receive your ballot. This year, you can vote on your computer, smartphone, or other electronic device.
- Whitelist. Add support@votenet.com to your email safe list. This action will ensure the proper delivery of key election information. Instructions for whitelisting can be found at blog.aweber.com/how-to-whitelist-us.
