ASA Member News July 2005
Welcome to the July edition of ASA Member News, the ASA's monthly e-newsletter.
Did you know that more than 11,000 members have joined a Chapter or Section to enhance their ASA memberships? Chapters are organized regionally and provide members access to a local network of professional statisticians, while Sections are organized around subject areas that matter most to their members. Through a Section membership, you can build professional bonds with other statisticians who share your area of expertise. Learn more about ASA Chapters and Sections.

Well, this column provides some answers and explores why people do not vote and how to increase member participation. The participation idea links to the idea of volunteering-also touched on in this column. Read more.
