Boston Globe Story Fetes ASA on 175th
A story in Sunday’s Boston Globe spotlights ASA’s return to Boston for its 175th anniversary and the long history of statistics in this country. The lengthy story includes a graphic with information about ASA attendees at JSM, including most popular name and top states represented, as well as the association’s membership counts from its 1839 inception to today. ASA Launches New PR Campaign: This Is Statistics The ASA is launching a national public relations campaign—This Is Statistics—to encourage high-school and undergraduate students to study statistics and even consider pursuing a career in the field.
