JSM TV
The American Statistical Association and Joint Statistical Meetings are once again partnering with international film and broadcasting company WebsEdge to bring JSM TV to Nashville. This venture serves to raise the visibility of the work of statisticians and data scientists and provide an opportunity to learn about new and ongoing research and programs advancing the field globally—from applications to methodology and theory to the expanding boundaries of statistics.
WebsEdge will produce JSM TV with a new program each day and have the following two features:
- Conference News: Onsite, JSM TV will include interviews, key highlights, and attendees’ insights and reactions from around the meetings.
- In-Depth Reports: These will include five-minute documentary-style films from institutions and organizations wishing to highlight programs, case studies, and best practices from the statistical community.
You will be able to view JSM TV on screens throughout the convention center, in selected hotels, here on the meeting website, on YouTube, and across social media platforms.
In the lead up to the meetings, WebsEdge will reach out to organizations to discuss producing a film about their work to be included in the JSM TV program. There is a cost to be featured in these pre-recorded slots and only a limited number of organizations will be able to take part this year. If you are interested in learning more about the in-depth reports, please email Sally Nelson.
