Abstract #322277
Title: Mixture-of-Experts Models with Item Covariates for Ranking Data
Author(s): Thomas Brendan Murphy* and Lucy Small
Companies: University College Dublin and University College Dublin
Keywords: Mixture Model; Ranking Data; Preference Data; Clustering; Mixture-of-experts Model; Covariates
Abstract:

In practical settings when judges rank items, not only covariates for the judges can help explain their rankings but also item covariates and the interplay between the judge and item covariates. This talk will extend a Plackett-Luce model by specifying model parameters as functions of the judge and item covariates and present an application of the model to a data set from a FIFA Best Player award.
