Abstract:

The National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES) at the National Science Foundation provides approved researchers access to its most sensitive data through a virtual terminal - the Secure Data Access Facility (SDAF). The SDAF is a relatively new dissemination tool that NCSES implemented about six years ago. On the SDAF's five-year anniversary, NCSES conducted a customer-survey to evaluate the researcher's experience with using the SDAF. During this talk, I will present the findings from the survey, the changes that NCSES implemented to the SDAF in light of these findings, and NCSES's plans for fostering collaboration amongst approved researchers within the SDAF.
