Call for Papers for a Special Issue of STAT focused on Statistical Practice — Other Cmte/Business

Over the past two years, Dr. Robyn Ball, Computational Scientist at Jackson Laboratory, and Dr. Dean Johnson, Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Washington State University, have worked with members of the American Statistical Association Statistical Consulting Section on a proposal for the Journal of Statistical Practice. This journal would handle articles that directly relate to the practice of Statistics and Data Science. Such a journalwould provide a forum for statistical practitioners at all levels to report on techniques that they have found to be particularly beneficial to their clients. In 2022, STAT journal has agreed to run a special issue devoted to the practice of statistics. The proposed Journal of Statistical Practice and the special issue in STAT will be discussed in this session.
