Author(s): Michael Fundator*
Companies: Affl; National Academy of Sciences
Keywords: neural networks; statistical analysis; stochastic processes
Abstract:

Beginning from Hodkin and Huxley’s application of the terms statistical significance, estimation, and hypothesis in their articles more than 10 years preceding Hodkin-Huxley model and continued by FitzHugh model and Benoit Mandelbrot’s statistical approach to dynamic of neural networks some 25 years later, modern history of application of statistical and probability analysis to neural networks is more than 80 years old, where stochastic processes play important role.
