Abstract

Meningiomas are primary central nervous system tumors, currently understudied without any approved drugs for targeted therapies. A better understanding of the molecular characteristics of meningioma is necessary and attainable through the analysis of continually amassing “omics” data. MeningiOMICS, a web-based tool built with R Shiny, leverages publicly available meningioma mRNA microarray and methylation datasets providing data harmonization, statistically sound analyses, easily interpretable plots, and a platform for integration of new datasets which become publicly available. Built on programmatically robust logic, the tool returns both per-gene and multigene analysis and visualization through a reactive and intuitive interface, accessible for users of all statistical and programming backgrounds. This web-based, centralized hub for collective analysis in meningioma allows users to analyze relationships in existing omics datasets. High quality exportability of analyses allows users to understand clinical-molecular relationships in meningioma for generation of hypotheses for future investigation.
