Abstract:

Considering the specificity of the trade sector in Morocco, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is committed to define a statistical Observatory dedicated to monitoring of this sector by bringing together all the organisms managing registres of trade's establishements. The ambition is to conduct surveys and produce statistical analyzes about sector's contribution to the economy and the characterization of its performance. To satisfy this,it was important to approach different sampling frames,in order to delimit the population seems to be in the case of Morocco, imperfect and not exhaustive. What are the techniques adopted in the survey design and the choices made to overcome the methodological constraints? in this paper, first,I will speak about statistical system in Morocco and the different organismes producer of data or managing the operators's registre of trade sector, and how we have managed, my team and I, to combine all the existing information to create new indicators and new fields of study and new surveys. then, I will talk about some surveys launched with difficulties of sampling since there is no exhaustive directory, and the solutions adopted.
