Abstract:

It is important to integrate statistical learning with artificial intelligence (AI) to develop the assisted diagnosis methods with medical experts. The methodology of statistical learning can be combined with deep learning models to implement the diagnosis systems for specific diseases based on the information extracted from the related medical images and clinical data, including atrial fibrillation, pulmonary diseases, ophthalmologic diseases, colorectal polyps, brain tumor, vertebral fractures, and so forth. These studies will demonstrate the feasible integration of statistical models, computational techniques and domain knowledge for empirical data analytics in medical diagnosis.
