Abstract:

How do you create engagement within your organization? How can you appeal to the unique interests of the variety of people within your organization? This talk will show you how you can use data to tell a story about the people important to your organization, whether it is your business, your customers, or your employees, and use those stories to create more engagement, improve business metrics, and nurture positive employee sentiment. Presentation contents include using statistical techniques to identify segments using unsupervised techniques, predicting future engagement using hierarchical methods, and using the resultant knowledge to create better events, build more effective content, and communicate more effectively. The talk will use a case study from applying these techniques to a local ASA chapter; understanding the membership behavior and determining how these statistical techniques can be used to implement member engagement strategies.
