This session will discuss directions that ASA and the statistics profession have taken and can take to enhance:

* Justice: Impartial behavior of community members to reduce barriers for others

* Equity: Fairness of access, opportunity, advancement, and treatment of individuals

* Diversity: Range of human differences, including but not limited to age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, social class, physical ability, and religion;

* Inclusion: Involvement and empowerment of diverse members within a community.

Panelists will discuss why these issues are important, why it is necessary to discuss these issues and actively work to make a big tent statistics community, and what individuals and institutions can do. The recently formed ASA Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Outreach Group will also be discussed. This group was created to bring together individuals and groups with an active interest in working together to enrich and support justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in statistics and data science. The goals of this group will be discussed including ways that individuals can learn more or get involved.
