Abstract

Spatio-temporal analyses of brain images present interesting methodological challenges. I highlight several of these when data arise from structural and functional MRI scans. Specifically, I consider statistical methods to estimate anatomical structures in the brain from structural MRI scans (i.e., to estimate the anatomical ``wiring" in the brain). I also briefly discuss estimation of spatio-temporal neuronal firing patterns from functional MRI scans.
