Abstract:

Teaching statistics via Zoom has definitely necessitated some adjustments to my typical practice! Specific adjustments have resulted in successful pedagogy that has both helped students and me as a teacher. I will discuss my lessons learned teaching statistics to three different groups – inservice teachers, upper division STEM students, and general education lower division students – all via Zoom. I will draw upon lessons learned across these three different populations of students to discuss what worked and did not work in the Zoom classroom. Interactive google docs, zoom chats, breakout rooms, group assignments, and several other pedagogies will be discussed.
