ASA Awards Celebration and Editor Appreciation

The ASA will host an awards and editor appreciation celebration on Sunday evening, prior to the JSM Opening Mixer.

Opening Mixer
Sunday, August 3, 8:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
All conference attendees are encouraged to attend this kick-off social event of JSM.

JSM First-Time Attendee Orientation and Reception
Sunday, August 3, 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Join fellow first-timers at this orientation reception and learn how to get involved in JSM. Hear about the benefits of membership and get tips about the conference.

JSM Student Mixer
Monday, August 4, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
The Student Mixer provides an opportunity for students to join their contemporaries for a fun-filled time. Enjoy light fare and a chance to win prizes.

ASA 175th Anniversary Celebration (ticketed event)
Tuesday, August 5, 8:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Join ASA leadership and fellow JSM attendees in a special evening celebrating the anniversary of the American Statistical Association. Since it was founded in Boston in 1839, the ASA has supported excellence in the development, application, and dissemination of statistical science through meetings, publications, membership services, education, and advocacy. Refreshments, entertainment and good company will make this a night not to be missed! This will be a ticketed event so be sure to purchase your ticket when registering.

JSM Dance Party
Tuesday, August 5, 9:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
A highlight of every JSM, the dance party and lounge is held right after the ASA 17th Anniversary Celebration. Light snacks, a cash bar, and a live DJ. All are welcome!
