Abstract:

This talk presents a flexible dose response curve fitting method that can handle variety of dose-response curves of compounds. Cell based in vitro assay is a promising technique in the evaluation of drug induced liver toxicity of a collection of compounds using cell based in vitro assay. In such assay, multiple cell morphologic and mechanistic features are collected and their dose response relationship will be evaluated for early identification of potential safety issues. The combination of multiple features (serving as response variables) and the heterogeneous compounds often result in different courses of dose-response curves which can not be characterized by a single model. We develop a dose response curve classification scheme that is practically useful to deal with this problem.
