Description

This session covers various recent development of statistical methods in epidemiology, including the optimal strategy in designing a case control study, methods of estimating the prevalence of epilepsy, variance estimation for rate estimates from two independent surveys, the underlying disease prevalence related to capture-recapture sampling, use of hierarchical structures and compartmental models to study spatio-temporal health events, as well as methods in cost-effective or cost-efficient analysis.
