Abstract:
|
Many institutions are implementing "writing across the curriculum" programs. It seems natural to include writing assignments in introductory statistics classes. However, when these courses contain a large number of students, or when an instructor teaches multiple sections, grading a writing assignment becomes an arduous burden. This paper discusses using a single data set and using a grading rubric to ease the grading load.
