Best Practices to Borrow/Steal from Startups (302699)

In the last year, the UCLA Statistical Consulting Group has made significant efforts to become more service oriented. We have adapted the classic Joel Test for software companies to our team and improved our score from zero to six. We will discuss our adoption of version control, issue/bug tracking, client tracking, and automated testing; what we learned from that process; and what our next steps are. We also will discuss how these best practices apply to nonconsultants (analysts, data scientists, and professional statisticians).
