• How the CART algorithm works to build a decision tree

• Variations of a basic decision tree as implemented in different software tools including CART, JMP, and SAS

• How the Stochastic Gradient Boosting Algorithm works and why it is a powerful predictive (and descriptive) algorithms.

• How the Random Forest Algorithm works and why it is also a powerful algorithm

• Variations in software implementation of Gradient Boosting and Random Forest
