About the Instructor (302626)

Melissa Ziegler has been a consultant in the Applied Statistics Group within DuPont since 2006. In addition to her role as a statistician, she is a DuPont certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Six Sigma and statistics course instructor. Since joining DuPont, she has worked primarily with DuPont Crop Protection applying advanced statistical methods to support the discovery, development, registration and production of insect, weed and disease control products, including experimental design, generalized linear mixed models, and survival analysis. She has coauthored several papers as part of cross-disciplinary teams within Crop Protection.

Melissa is active within the American Statistical Association, both with the Section on Physical and Engineering Sciences and as the president of the Delaware Chapter. She received her Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006 and a B.S. in Mathematics from Elizabethtown College in 2000.
