One of early clinical development goals is to detect whether the drug has any efficacy signals and select a candidate to meet marketing needs. As such, the selected drug candidate should have some certainty to meet pre-specified efficacy threshold. Furthermore, a relatively small study is commonly designed at early stage of clinical development. Such studies may not provide sufficient information for decision making based on the primary endpoint alone. There are multiple efficacy endpoints which are usually correlated. In this talk, we will assess decision making based on multiple efficacy endpoints via Bayesian approach.
