In this presentation, I will provide a brief overview of the development of power prior for leveraging historical data. Then, I will introduce a newly developed Bayesian measure to quantify the amount of information provided by the data based on the comparison of the prior and the posterior distributions. Finally, I will present the methodology for Bayesian design via conditional borrowing. Several case studies will be presented to demonstrate usefulness of these methodologies in real applications.
