Abstract:

Online experimentation (e.g., A/B testing, multi-arm bandit, and factorial design) is widely used by Internet companies such as Google, Facebook, Alibaba, and Groupon for keyword optimization, web design, and many other applications. The use of these methods affects every Internet user. Whether you open an online coupon, visit a website, or watch a Youtube video, you are helping the Internet company conduct an online experiment. In this roundtable, we will discuss methods and various applications of online experiments.
