Hosting an Official ASA DataFest
The ASA DataFest organizer must be faculty or staff at an academic institution and NOT a student (undergraduate or graduate). The data and other materials will be provided through the ASA Community, so at least one member of the organizing team must be a member of the ASA. Exceptions can be made under exceptional circumstances. Please contact donnal@amstat.org for more information.
To be an official ASA DataFest, organizers must agree to use the official data set, to abide by a few ground rules, and to hold the event within the date range March 21, 2025 – May 4, 2025. To register your institution’s intent to host a local ASA DataFest event, please register here no later than February 7, 2025. Join us for an ASA DataFest virtual information townhall on January 14, 2025 at 2 pm ET. Register for the townhall here.
To receive information and news about DataFest, you must subscribe to the listserv. To do this, send a blank email to sympa@sympa.cts.ucla.edu with subject header subscribe stat_datafestinabox. You can also email datafest@amstat.org and request to be added to the listserv. The listserv is the only source of news and information, and each host site is required to have at least one faculty organizer subscribed to this listserv.
